You will join the challenging Ledger Blockchain Integration Team. Today, Ledger Live has the best in class Blockchain integration coverage in the industry thanks to the work of this team. But we are not satisfied yet and want to take it even further.

As the Team Lead of the Coin Integration Team at Ledger, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for the seamless integration of various blockages into the Ledger ecosystem, ensuring compatibility and functionality with our devices. This leadership position demands a robust blend of technical prowess, blockchain understanding, and team management skills.

The mission

Lead the Coin Integration Team, driving the integration of various blockchain technologies into the Ledger ecosystem, ensuring they work seamlessly with our hardware and software solutions (EVM, BTC, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos…)
Develop strategies for blockchain integration that align with organizational goals and user needs, fostering innovation in blockchain technology utilization.
Collaborate with product management, software development, and quality assurance teams to deliver robust blockchain solutions.
Mentor and guide team members through complex blockchain integration challenges, encouraging growth and continuous learning.
Oversee the team’s delivery timelines, ensuring that integration projects are executed efficiently and align with the broader product roadmap.
Implement agile best practices tailored to the blockchain integration process, promoting rapid iteration and responsiveness to change.
Conduct regular agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to maximize team effectiveness and morale.
Promote a culture of feedback and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to innovate and experiment with new integration techniques.

What we're looking for

Strong leadership experience with a passion for the blockchain technology space.
Extensive coding experience and deep knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
Proficiency in managing integration projects with a variety of blockchain protocols and standards.
Adept at leading agile project teams and well-versed in agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a capacity to think strategically about how blockchain integrations impact overall product outcomes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Bonus points

Proven track record of successful blockchain or cryptocurrency-related projects.
Experience with hardware wallet technology or similar security-focused applications.
Deep understanding of multiple blockchain architectures, including but not limited to EVM, Cosmos, and Polkadot.

Ledger has developed Ledger Live, an application to manage all your blockchain-backed assets. It’s built in React.js (Electron on Desktop and React Native on Mobile) and supports multiple blockchains (coins & NFTs) as well as provides multiple services by integrating DApps and offering a SDK for 3rd parties to integrate. Of course, all this is backed by our hardware wallets which Ledger Live allows you to manage. This application is developed by several teams, each working on specific parts of the software.

To sustain the company's growth, we are looking for a Staff Front-End Engineer to join the Wallet Experience business unit. Within the Live Hub squad, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the portfolio and account management UI flows.

Your main responsibilities will be the following :

Own from a technical standpoint the desktop and mobile development of Ledger Live Applications.
Collaborate with our devs, QA, designers, and product within Ledger Live teams.
Take initiative and offer technical solutions.
Develop features using best practices from unit to e2e testing.
Participate in code reviews.
Be responsible for the quality of Ledger’s UI/UX framework.
Mentor and promote tech growth within the team, helping to set high standards for the team.
Work 100% on Open Source projects all gathered in our monorepo: ledger-live.
Share knowledge within Ledger and beyond.

What we're looking for :

Engineer profile with at least 5 years of experience in software development.
A curious mind with a positive attitude to join a highly collaborative team.
Proficient with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Strong experience in React.js development, tools and libraries.
Good knowledge of testing strategies.
Good knowledge of UI/UX practices in software development.

Nice to have :

Experience with React Native and/or Electron.

What you'll be doing :

• System Architecture: Review architecture and software components with software engineers and architects. Ensure best practices are consistent across all teams.

• Operational Excellence: Own and ensure SLOs and SLAs are met. Monitor operational metrics and lead improvement plans. Develop tools including infra-as-code resources to scale operations and allow other teams to be autonomous.

What we look for in you :

• Cloud Operations: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, CloudFlare, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Strong programming and scripting skills, preferably in languages such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
