AML Assessment Analyst (PH) @ Coins
- Performs AML assessments of flagged accounts
- Analyzes customer transactions and activities; identifies and escalates potentially suspicious activities
- Performs manual monitoring and additional user screening such that accounts deemed for further investigation are flagged and reviewed accordingly
- Reviews standard and enhanced due diligence documents submitted and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information is obtained
- Prepares team reports as deemed necessary

- Graduated from a 4-year business, accounting, legal management, or related course from a reputable institution
- Understanding of relevant issuances, rules and regulations

- Ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year experience in a compliance or AML-related role, and with training for AMLA related activities. Fresh graduates are free to apply!

Legal Counsel (TH) @ Coins
- Provide clear and actionable counsel to the business on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues involving transactional, operational, and risk-related matters.
- Provide practical advice on legal issues and risks in a risk-tolerant, but the compliance-oriented environment, including the impact on the company's long-term strategy for business.
- Provide innovative legal solutions for complex projects involving new technologies to support commercial objectives including the analysis and advice on new regulatory guidance in the fintech industry such as BOT, SEC, AMLO related.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, such as but not limited to vendor contracts and investment agreements.
- Assist in handling corporate housekeeping as necessary.
- Serve as part of a multi-jurisdiction legal team.
- Assist in the regulatory affairs of several jurisdictions, such as but not limited to SG, HK, TH, and China.
- Lead, guide, and drive licensing efforts and eliminating regulatory and operational blockers by collaborating with cross-functional teams internally and engaging with regulators.
- Qualified legal counsel (in a common law jurisdiction) with 5 to 7 years of legal experience in general corporate, M&A, regulatory compliance, and/or dispute resolution practices.
- Substantial experience in executing, developing, and successfully providing legal support for international expansion.
- Substantial experience translating complex, new regulatory guidance into actionable business guidance for market expansion strategies.
- Proven track record in leading/driving licensing efforts and working as part of a cross-functional team to launch new operations, products, and business lines.
- Excellent judgment, analytical rigor, clear communication, and business pragmatism.
- A good team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for payments and cryptocurrency and requires minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English with outstanding writing and communication skills.
- Must be located in Thailand.

Market and Liquidity Risk @ Coins
- Responsible for the identification, analysis, measurement and management of market and liquidity risks arising from balance sheet portfolios, and trading and structuring business of Coins.ph.
- Provide support in the selection and implementation of investment and business strategies.
- Build infrastructure required for allocating, monitoring and reporting risk and performance vis-à-vis strategies and market developments.
- Provide analysis of new products/activities/services and processes.
- Preparing reports on the level of market and liquidity risks and any violations of the internal and external instructions that would expose the Company to risks.
- Help raise risk awareness, provide education and training to employees inside the organization.
- Create and maintain an external network with other senior risk managers, and relevant risk forums.
- Maintain awareness of changes in market and liquidity industry standards, best practices, and risk landscape to maintain professional competence
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Economics/Statistics/Accountancy /Finance/Business management or related field
- Over 5 years work experience in Market and Liquidity risk management, Finance, Accounting. and/or Audit or other relevant experience
- Familiarity with MLRM control frameworks and standards such as BSP regulations, ISO, COSO, and Basel II and III
- Well-developed organization and project management skills with proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize, and handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate from process owners to senior management
- Must have analytical capabilities to analyze and detect prospective risks and vulnerabilities.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with other risk management professionals to properly appreciate the company’s key risks and create effective risk management solutions.
- Must have a thorough understanding of accounting systems, financial ratios and tools, and a working knowledge of numerous market and liquidity monitoring languages.
- Must possess leadership abilities to motivate and manage their teams. If a threat happens, offer employees support, make suggestions, and manage the potential risk.
- Able to solve technical problems analytically and successfully manage information collection, analysis, reports, and other tasks. The MLRM Risk Manager must have outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Must be familiar with applicable banking regulations.
