Who You Are:

We are looking for a client service-minded individual to join the Galaxy Asset Management team and support senior managers while developing a deep understanding of our clients to provide best in class service.

What You’ll Do:

• Reactively servicing clients independently by responding to adhoc requests and servicing as liaison between the Firm and our clients
• Analyze client requests and identify and implement solutions by working with necessary internal and external parties
• Collaborate with various internal teams such as FinOps, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Investment Teams to ensure seamless client coverage
• Provide value added services to clients and ensure client deadlines are met
• Use automation and systems to quickly and accurately complete client requests
• Backup Client Managers who are traveling by receiving client requests and working with other client managers to validate and put into production
• When necessary, work with other team members to ensure ad-hoc data requests such as DDQs / RFPs, are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure resources and time is spent on client requests as appropriate given client tier

The Accounting Policy and Reporting team works at the frontier of the crypto industry and plays an integral role in interpreting and applying novel financial reporting guidance and  is an integral component of Finance’s risk management and reporting process.. We are looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst who is excited to deal with new, challenging topics as industry regulations evolve, has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization, with a proven ability to thrive successfully in a fast paced multi-task oriented environment. This is a critical and high-profile position that will play a crucial role in financial reporting and other statutory filings. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and would involve partnering and collaborating with many stakeholders across the organization.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Prepare and coordinate the SEC filings - 10-K, 10-Q, proxy statements, earnings press releases, etc.
• Coordinate data requests and analysis for internal and external auditors.
• Oversee XBRL tagging of financial statements.
• Support the Financial Reporting team to ensure deadlines are met and accuracy of work.
• Perform financial analytics including variance analysis around the information disclosed in the external reports/disclosures.
• Preparation of the statutory quarterly and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and international accounting standards for the Company’s legal entities.
• Review and assist with the implementation of new SEC/GAAP requirements.
• Prepare financial information for the quarterly Audit Committee and Board meetings.
• Update internal control documentation and play a key role in the Company's SOX Compliance effort.
• Assist with finance process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies.
• Assist with additional projects impacting financial reporting or the wider accounting teams.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Strong accounting background with a good knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404 and SEC financial reporting standards.
• CPA or similar designation required.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience with current or recent public company SEC financial reporting experience.
• Combination of private and public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of FASB and US GAAP rules and regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Summary

As the Accounts Analyst, you will support the Finance team based across several offices. Our operations, however, cover multiple time zones and locations (Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, along with counterparts in Europe and the US). Responsibilities

• Growing our threat actor tracking and analytic efforts, to provide actionable intelligence to our security, product, and ecosystem partners.
• Researching emerging attack trends, uncovering attacker infrastructure and tools, and helping Coinbase make sure attackers have a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day.
• Monitoring and analyzing in-the-wild exploits, malware, and attacks against other crypto exchanges, determining attribution to a particular threat group, and working with our CSIRT to develop detections accordingly.

Some security teams have strict requirements about certifications, degrees, years of experience, and things like that. Not us! We’re more interested in the unique perspectives and expertise you’ll bring to the team, rather than the acronyms on your resume. However, you’ll be much more likely to be successful in this role if these bullet points seem like a good description of you:

• You’ve been doing practical security things (detection and response, malware analysis, security research, etc) for a while now, probably in the realm of 6+ years.
• You are comfortable doing malware analysis, in either static or dynamic environments, and have a favorite tool or set of tools you use to tear binaries apart.
• You’re familiar with Python and/or Go and have used it for data analysis or to automate the task that made you bored when you were asked to do it more than three (or a thousand) times.
• You regularly use OSINT or threat intelligence to better understand an attack or piece of malware. You effectively communicate your findings and analysis with the team.
• You’re curious about how cyber actors operate, and you’re determined to not let a broken dependency or sinkholed domain stop you from figuring it out. You aren’t afraid to ask for help from your coworkers or network, but you know how to spot a rabbit hole before you’ve gone too deep.

We’re more interested in the unique perspectives and expertise you’ll bring to the team, rather than the acronyms on your resume. However, you’ll be much more likely to be successful in this role if these bullet points seem like a good description of you:

• You’ve been doing practical security things (incident response, phishkit/malware analysis, investigating account compromises, etc) for a while now, probably in the realm of 10+ years
• You don’t just reflexively open up a Jupyter Notebook during an investigation, you’ve actually got favorite Jupyter Notebooks you’ve built up over the years, because you like backing up your conclusions with data, and you like automating things
• You are good in understanding and analyzing multitude of artifacts across network and host level
• You frequently get praise from your peers and coworkers about your communication skills, both written and verbal
• Your high degree of empathy means that your coworkers trust you to help solve their security problems, because you never come across as judgmental or condescending
• Pressure doesn’t get to you, even in high intensity situations or environments

Nice to haves:

• You would bring a diverse perspective to the team: for example,  maybe you took an unconventional route to get into your current security career
• You’ve got a passing familiarity with blockchains and cryptocurrency, or at least a good story about how you thought about investing in Bitcoin in 2014 but decided not to
• You’re comfortable doing some basic scripting and writing alert rules in Python and running queries in SQL/Snowflake
• You’ve good understanding of Cloud and SaaS technologies 
• You are good in analyzing data at scale and perform investigations to identify adversary behavior
• You’ve got some experience with OSINT and threat hunting
• You‘ve got some experience doing incident response in the cloud
• You’d prefer if everyone just settled on using the ATT&CK framework already
• You have got experience in analyzing attacker methodologies and build detections that will enhance the existing security posture
