About the Company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We are the first (and so far, only) company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto. We're fully remote, with team members across the globe.
About the Role
We're looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate (BDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, an extensive network of contacts in the industry, and a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for owning the early stages of the sales process, which includes prospecting and engaging with top teams in the space. You will regularly interface with some of the top TradFi players, leading exchanges, up and coming DeFi protocols as well as Family Offices, Custodians, etc. - from crypto native to crypto curious.

Consistent Qualified Lead Generation. You are consistently introducing our senior business development, partnership, sales, and/or onboarding teams to prospective clients or partners that have met our qualification criteria.
Organized, Accurate, Up-To-Date Files and Records. Our CRM and files related to your activities are consistently organized, accurate and up to date.
High-Quality Market Analysis & Insight. You regularly produce high-quality market mapping and market analysis reports and become the “go-to person” for our team for information, updates, and insights into your assigned market segments. You understand the companies, the DAOs, the people, the investors, the customers, the suppliers, the market dynamics, and the relationships between them.
Strong Relationships & Reputation with Prospects & Partners. When external parties communicate with you, they are impressed with your competence and professionalism and your knowledge of Ondo and our products, our industry, and their (the prospect’s) business. Your being part of the team bolsters Ondo’s brand.
Effective & Harmonious Internal Relationships. You work effectively and harmoniously with other members of the Ondo team, particularly across sales operations, client onboarding, marketing, and client relations / customer support.
Your Responsibilities Will Include…
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and cultivate new leads through various channels including email campaigns, social media, and networking platforms, tailored to the DeFi and blockchain industry.
Market Research: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes in the DeFi and blockchain sectors to identify new opportunities and threats.
Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the DeFi ecosystem, such as wallets, exchanges, and protocols, to foster collaborations and business opportunities.
Client Onboarding and Account Management: Collaborate with internal teams including product, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and effective ongoing account management.
Community Engagement: Actively engage with the DeFi and blockchain communities through social media channels, forums, and other online platforms to build brand presence and gather market insights.
Event Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetups, networking with potential clients and partners, and promoting the company's products and services.
CRM Maintenance: Diligently maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems with accurate and current data on leads, client interactions, and progress.
Content Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop relevant content that resonates with the target audience, including blog posts, whitepapers, presentations, and social media content.
Playbooks and Sales Motion Development: Collaborate in the creation and refinement of sales playbooks, outlining effective strategies and processes for prospecting, engaging, and converting leads in the DeFi space. Actively contribute to defining and optimizing the sales motion to align with industry best practices and the company's unique value proposition in the blockchain and crypto market.
Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on lead generation activities, market research findings, and partnership developments, providing insights and recommendations to the sales and marketing teams.
Team Collaboration and Communication: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment of goals, sharing market insights, and contributing to the overall strategy of the business.
Experience
You should definitely have…
+ At least some familiarity with the crypto/blockchain industry/DeFi
+ Strong networking, communication, and relationship building skills
It’d be great (but not necessary!) if you have…
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field.
+ A background in traditional finance
+ Experience as a management consultant and/or investment banker
+ Experience building informative, well-designed presentations
+ Deep experience in / knowledge of crypto / defi
+ 2+ years experience with inbound, outbound, and client-facing sales positioning SaaS, Crypto or Finance
+ At least 2 years of experience in outbound sales with a focus on the DeFi ecosystem / Web3 space
+ A track record of achieving targets relating to the generation of leads, onboarded clients and brand awareness.
+ Bi/multingual
+ Previous startup experience
+ Active engagement in the DeFi community through social media and other communication channels
+ A Strong network of contacts in the DeFi industry
