Yelay is a permissionless and non-custodial toolbox serving as the base-layer protocol for fixed income in DeFi. Yelay’s smart contract stack allows anyone to create automated, diversified, and risk-reward-optimized yield-farming portfolios. Partners like launchpool platforms, wallets, exchanges, and DAO management tools can leverage our SDK to offer users ‘Earn’ products based on Yelay’s smart vaults.

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Node.js Backend Engineer with hands-on Web3 expertise to develop core Yelay protocol backend infrastructure and a TypeScript SDK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, implement, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Improve and expand existing backend services.
• Build a TypeScript SDK that enables integration by external parties.
• Lead projects from scoping to delivery.
• Develop and maintain Web3 integration services for multiple blockchains.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Guide clients through the SDK integration process and assist in technical onboarding of new clients, including the setup and configuration of Yelay products tailored to client-specific needs.
• Proactively contribute to developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base (FAQs, guides, and tutorials).
• Promote Yelay products both in-person and through industry-standard platforms and communities.

Requirements and Skills:

• Node.js expertise with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Express.js.
• Advanced TypeScript skills.
• Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Deep knowledge of AWS (e.g., Amplify, EC2, ECS).
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth understanding of DeFi, blockchain technology, and the Web3 ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Ethereum development (e.g., Ethers.js).
• Experience with The Graph / Subgraph.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols and a native DeFi user experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to empathize with client needs and challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, collaborating across multiple departments.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
