We’re looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team. You’ll have an opportunity to work across our entire Ethereum-based web3 stack on cutting-edge technology that reshapes the global financial system. Responsibilities

• Managing a growing cloud infrastructure stack on GCP
• Designing and managing permissioning systems across our cloud infrastructure and other relevant systems
• Improving and building out CD pipelines
• Managing and securing DNS
• Owning alerting systems and processes (currently based on Pagerduty)
• Manually managing much of the above responsibilities and automating them over time to allow the organization to continuously expand the scope of these activities

Skill and Qualifications

• 4+ years as a sysadmin, systems engineer, site reliability engineer, reliability engineer, or related role in a professional setting
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP
• Experience with secret management
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python
• Experience using, configuring, and managing custom and open source software

Where do you fit in?

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who is seeking an opportunity to strengthen, grow, and shape UMA’s mindshare. This person is passionate about DeFi and the ethos of web3, and uses that passion to motivate and inspire others to be an active part of the ecosystem. Your role will be twofold: to run the communications for the protocol to the wider Web3 space, and to rally and support the community to support you in that same mission. A piece of rallying the community is building out the DAO structure that supports the protocol.

The successful candidate will need to be sharp and pay a lot of attention to detail. You should understand UMA’s infrastructure and be able to speak about it accurately.

Responsibilities

• User Communications: Maintain a persona for UMA that instills trust in the oracle. Educate current users and the wider addressable market about new and existing features, and work with engineers to describe complex topics in ways that can appeal to multiple audience segments.
• Co-marketing: You’ll support the growth team in cultivating our relationships to other projects by arranging and leading co-marketing campaigns. These campaigns will range from simple Twitter space events, to multi-step incentive programs that require on-chain steps by users.
• Grow Across’ audience: Strive for ambitious audience growth and engagement in the space as a whole. Not everyone will join our community, but everyone should know about us.
• Collaborate: Work closely with your product team to align on and implement growth strategies, recognizing that our product and its communications are intertwined
• Trends: To the degree that it is useful for hitting your mindshare KPIs, stay on top of current trends both in Crypto Twitter as well as in Web3 development as a whole.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2 years relevant experience: marketing, community management, social media role, DAO leader, etc.
• High EQ: promote a community culture of kindness, positivity, and inclusivity
• Ability to use your depth of knowledge around DeFi, blockchain, and oracles and translate complex concepts to various audiences
• Expert in navigating Discord, Discourse and other forums, and Twitter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, multiple languages is of course an asset

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow industry partnerships: Manage inbound and strategically initiate outbound leads aligned with a protocol growth strategy
• Resourceful pipeline management: Be able to intelligently have scope, feasibility, and ideation discussions but rely on your intuition and resourcefulness to know how to close, move, and find success for all parties
• Be a leading UMA evangelist: attending & speaking at industry events, publishing thought leader content, and enhancing developer materials
• Create and own a sales playbook/process: find rhythm in managing lead-gen, onboarding new integrations, participating in technical ideation and design, and being the go-to expert for UMA integrations

• 3+ years of experience in a sales or growth role for software or protocols
• A computer science (or equivalent) degree isn’t necessary, but you must have experience working with and communicating with engineers
• Domain knowledge in crypto, DeFi, web3, etc. is a must
• A nerdy curiosity for understanding technical needs and solving problems
• Proven ability of using your resourcefulness to impact key objectives

We are looking for an experienced frontend engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead the effort on turning design into reality across a variety of projects. This role requires the dynamism to work on quick proof-of-concept projects or within a methodical product development cycle depending on the objective.

As a frontend engineer working with our core optimistic oracle, you will guide and shape the user experience across the UMA dApps and be an integral part of how people interact with our product. This will require sharp time management skills and the ability to scope and triage your own work in collaboration with your fellow engineers and product team.

Our tech stack: React, Typescript, ethers, Solidity, hardhat, Javascript, Node.js, web3

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your product team: designers, other engineers, and product owners to scope and build fresh, delightful dApps that allow users to interact with smart contracts.
• Expand on the work of other developers by diving into existing codebases to add features or fix bugs.
• Write code in a highly collaborative open source ecosystem. In depth reviews of others’ contributions is expected with a focus on helping others grow their technical expertise.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years full-time experience with frontend development in React.
• Strong understanding of React or alternative frontend framework.
• Passion for blockchain technology, cryptoeconomic protocol design, game theory, or decentralized finance.

You aren’t expected to bring an audience with you, but, you should have a proven record of successful twitter campaigns that grow an engaged audience. These include sharing ideas that go viral, winning based debates without losing your cool, and generally being noticed. A twitter evangelist and influencer if you will.

Responsibilities

• Grow an audience: find, engage, and gather an influential audience in the right communities and environments all while staying aligned with UMA’s key messages and products.
• Trends: Follow ongoing trends, be ahead of the curve, and participate in the CT discussions gaining UMA brand awareness
• Persona and Influence: Maintain a well-rounded persona, so as not to be seen as an UMA shill but instead as invaluable knowledge that gains the attention of other key opinion leaders, just like yourself.
• Convey Intellectual Curiosity: use your financial engineering knowledge and desire to turn academic research into useful technology to share valuable insights internally and externally
