You’ll be joining a growing team that currently includes 50+ people overall. This role is based in Switzerland. Most of our team is based in Berlin, Germany, but we also have awesome teammates in Switzerland 🇨🇭, Spain 🇪🇸, Portugal 🇵🇹, UK 🇬🇧, and other countries.

💻 About the role:

As a Head of Finance, you will be responsible for contributing strategically and operationally to the success of the company far beyond financial matters. You’ll be taking over responsibility for Accounting- Controlling- and Compliance matters and will be involved in leading and supporting Projects and Initiatives. You will also engage in critical projects, including transitioning to new external vendors, integration, automation, or enhancements.The job requires to be able to be extremely hands on and still keep the oversight and contribute actively to strategic matters. You’ll be working with a highly motivated team and reporting directly to the CFO.

🗃️ What you will be doing:

• Treasury Management: Oversee on-chain and fiat transactions, invoicing, and manage treasury activities to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Timely and Accurate Periodic Closing: Collaborate with internal bookkeepers and external parties to ensure seamless and precise closing processes.
• Liquidity and Funding Coordination: Support liquidity management and coordinate closely with the CFO on intercompany funding.
• Tax Filings: Work with our Operations team and tax Partner to handle various tax filings efficiently.
• Financial Automation: Build tools, automations, and processes to streamline all financial efforts and enhance productivity.
• DAO Operations Support: Assist in issuing and monitoring grants, building robust reporting mechanisms to support the operations of the DAO.
• Token Option Exercises: Lead the financial processes related to token option exercises, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Month-End and Quarter-End Closings: Partner with the accounting team to prepare and review month-end and quarter-end book close processes.
• Reconciliations and Adjustments: Maintain appropriate reconciliations, validate support for all adjustments, and update financial statements accordingly.
• Financial Statements and Reporting including ESA: Prepare and coordinate financial statements, regulatory and VAT reporting, business forecasts, and other external reporting requirements.
• Audit Leadership: Lead the audit process, coordinating all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient audit experience.
• Cashflow and Budget Forecasting: Update weekly cashflow overviews, lead month-end forecasting, and budget processes, preparing detailed management reports and analytical reviews.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with Legal, Risk Management, and Internal Audit to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
• Compliance Policies Implementation: Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures specific to the Foundation.
• Risk Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure non-compliance issues are addressed.

🎒 What you will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience as a finance professional at a payment/e-money institution, bank, fin-tech, financial regulatory agency and/or professional service firm serving financial institution clients.
• 3+ experience working in a regulated entity/environment.
• A professional finance qualification, and membership of a recognized professional body, is a prerequisite (Swiss CPA with experience in senior management).
• Experience in the blockchain industry is a plus; a strong interest and fast learning curve is a must.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions, with an emphasis on senior management and a track record of performing in a management role. Project management experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and German
• Track record of building strong relationships with boards, senior management and regulators.
• Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and effective time management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a high growth business.
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS is a plus
• Knowledge of accounting month-end book close process.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

💻 About the role:

As the Partnerships Manager for Asia, you will be responsible for engaging with clients and developers from within Asia, to promote the adoption of Safe and especially the Safe{CORE} stack. You will have a very close relationship with our Head of Partnerships, Jan, based in our Swiss office, and be involved with high-level details of the technical development of Safe.

The position will require autonomy in building out a strategy based on local business acumen and networks. You will have a direct impact on Safe through establishing relationships with partners, as well as promoting the adoption of new features for projects in the Ethereum ecosystem. Your focus will be on the Asian market, leading the adoption of smart accounts and Safe across verticals. You will lead conversations from the first contact to the execution of the partnership’s goals.

• Spearhead the strategic acquisition of partners and drive the adoption of new tooling built through Safe{CORE} within Ethereum ecosystem teams.
• Apply a systematic approach by conducting in-depth market analysis, assessing potential synergies, and leveraging comprehensive relationship management methodologies.
• Build out partner profiles tailored for local markets, focusing on technical integrators and increasing adoption across verticals.

💻 About the role:

As the VP of Engineering at Safe, you will be the overall project-wide lead that coordinates all the technical leads in each of Safe’s sub-teams (across both {Wallet} and {Core}). This is a strategically critical role as we continue to scale our tech operations - we have a highly motivated team with a huge amount of potential. This role will be pivotal in tapping into that.

Many high-value Safes are managed via Safe{Wallet}, giving you the opportunity to work on a project that is actually used by teams and individuals managing digital assets that have real value. As VP of Engineering for Safe{Wallet}, you will significantly influence the future of the entire Safe project.

The Safe{Core} Protocol introduces an open-source interoperability protocol for modular smart contract-based accounts (“smart accounts”). It addresses challenges in the smart account ecosystem such as fragmentation, vendor lock-in, and security risks.

💻 About the role:

As a Backend Lead {Wallet}, you will be responsible for the backend powering Safe{Wallet}. Many high-value Safes are managed via Safe{Wallet}, giving you the opportunity to work on a project that is actually used by teams and individuals managing digital assets that have real value.

You’ll have the chance to work on the intersection between frontend apps and various Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible chains such as Polygon, Arbitrum, and Gnosis Chain.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work with renowned technologies across two stacks: NodeJS/Nest.js with Postgres/Redis and Python/Django/Celery. Dive into Open Source projects, where your contributions are public, inviting feedback and collaboration from the community. Plus, alongside our exceptional DevOps team, you’ll gain exposure to Kubernetes and AWS.

You will be the Technical Lead of the {Wallet} team. Optionally you will also be the people lead of that team in case this matches your ambitions and skills.

You will report to the Safe{Wallet} Engineering Manager.

As a Network Support Lead, you will be responsible for expanding our support for new Ethereum based networks and push forward the research on how to decentralize our indexing infrastructure. You will act as subject matter expert for this between multiple internal and external teams You will report directly into the CTO Co-Founder. Safe is key to the Ethereum ecosystem. Most if not all projects are using it in one way or the other. You will work on a project central to Ethereum. You will be hands on with the tech stack powering some of the accounts managing some of the highest valued assets in the Ethereum ecosystem.
