Pantera currently manages $500mm in capital in seven funds in three product groups – passive, hedge, and venture.Pantera is seeking a Venture / Platform research Intern to help conduct journal-quality research and analysis supporting our 100+ portfolio companies across the blockchain industry. The ideal candidate will be able to pick up new skills quickly, operate under ambiguity and with unstructured data, and work cross-functionally to drive outcomes for the team. Depending on experience, qualification, and interest, there may be opportunities to work on other projects at the firm, in addition to the responsibilities described below.

Responsibilities

• Develop resources for portfolio companies to aid in incentive design, data analysis, fundraising, business development, and operations.
• Build out content focused on portfolio companies, including social and long-form content, including publication-level economic and social science research.
• Opportunities to interface with portfolio company teams and learn about the operating side of venture capital
While some projects will be scoped out in advance, the Intern will have an opportunity to develop her/his own projects and collaborate with the team on new ideas.

Sample Projects

• Reviewing, as well as conducting, research in economics and quantitative social science targeted toward helping portfolio companies design, create, and manage their projects.
• Researching products / tools / services to expand our curated resource database for portfolio companies
• Analyzing and characterizing strategic interactions among stakeholders and participants relevant to a portfolio company
• Scraping, cleaning, and analyzing data as part of hypothesis-driven research to inform decision-making

Qualifications

• Strong academic background at a highly ranked undergraduate or MBA program
• Exceptional analytical thinking and communications skills
• Genuine curiosity about blockchain/cryptocurrency technologies
• Must be a self-starter who is curiosity driven and capable of conducting research semi-independently
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills

$35 - $60 an hourThe salary range for this position is 35 to $60 per hour.Dates of InternshipThe program will run between May 27 and Sep 4, with a minimum commitment of 6 weeks. Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter who has proven ability to cultivate relationships within a team and in an external-facing setting

• Bonus: 1-3 years in consulting, financial services, data analytics or comparable role at a high growth tech company

Pantera Capital is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate. Ideal candidate has experience in fund accounting covering both hedge funds and venture funds within an investment management firm, a third party administrator, or accounting firm. Extensive knowledge in fund accounting and hedge fund operations. The position will be asked to oversee shadow accounting of Funds to verify the fund administrator's NAV calculations. Additional tasks will be to assist with investor document creation, compliance related tasks, regulatory filings and a variety of other operational tasks associated with the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and understand the various general ledgers for Funds and management companies
• Reconcile between internal books and the books of the fund administrator
• Assist with fund documents creation and updating
• Preparation of quarterly financial reports
• Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation
• Analyzing financial and investment transaction
• Preparing bank requests and wire information
• Provide expected cash flow reports
• Daily activities include journal entries in Quickbooks, bank reconciliation, understanding cash flow needs, anticipating deal closes, and reconciling capital calls
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Pantera Capital is an investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera currently manages capital in eight funds across three product groups – passive, hedge, and venture. Our New York office is seeking an Investor Relations Associate. The primary role is to assist the Firm's management team with investor relations and fundraising. This will include managing the Investor Relations calendar, researching potential investors, providing meeting prep to team, helping with investor meeting follow-up, coordinating marketing roadshows and Pantera-hosted investor events, helping with our social media presence, and maintaining the firm's client database. Secondary responsibilities include investor relations tasks, such as gathering investor documentation, and existing and potential investor correspondence and event planning.

• Manage the Investor Relations calendar (Microsoft Outlook)
• Prepare the management team for meetings by researching the prospective investors online and within our database
