We are looking for a senior and motivated backend developer who is experienced in programming in PHP, Symfony and/or Laravel. You have experience working with two-sided marketplaces, developing APIs, payments and/or e-commerce platforms. 

You’ll be working together with a motivated, talented, and experienced product team (previously worked at Booking.com, Samsung and Adidas), and participate in our product development from ideation to deployment and beyond. For example, you’ll develop APIs for integrating with external tools and blockchain networks. 

The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, is hands-on, and proactive - seeking business and user requirements to clearly scope, define  and estimate potential options for developing features and technical capabilities to help the business reach it’s goals. You aren’t afraid to seek clarify if there is ambiguity on requirements, and ideally user customer-centric, so can put yourself in the shoes of the user to help define optimal business logic. 

There is a ton of autonomy in this role and lots of opportunities to grow within the role and with the company. You’ll work on a range of exciting projects from shipping new payment and login features to improve the buying experience for collectors on the marketplace, to exploring how to build or integrate tooling to help automate and scale the onboarding of new creators who want to join our marketplace. 

You have a good understanding and experience developing scalable service-oriented architecture, experience creating servers and databases optimally for storage, reliability and performance, and experience designing and developing APIs.

This role is fully remote, but it’s important that you can work within the same time zone as the product team who work during the CET timezone. 

Job requirements

• 8+ years experience in backend software development, with at least 5 years using PHP.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Very advanced level of understanding with PHP. Bonus points if you have experience with Symfony and/or Laravel.
• Good problem-solving skills, you’re confident in debugging and understanding the root cause of issues.
• Extensive experience developing services and APIs.
• Good understanding of database technology such as MySQL.
• Good understanding and experience developing scalable service-oriented architecture.
• Experienced in writing tests and monitoring the launch of new features.
• Ability to communicate fluently with your team members in English.
• Know how to create good documentation to enable clients and stakeholders to understand how to use and benefit from your development solutions.
• Attention to detail.

We are developing one of the leading NFT marketplaces for 3D assets and the metaverse and the team is growing fast. Our mission is to empower 3D creators and collectors to build an open metaverse with unique and engaging 3D models.

You will be involved in directly organising the accounts receivable and payable processes, helping understand the company profit and loss and balance sheet, and setting up tooling for reporting to provide management with clear insights on cashflows, costs and expenditures. What you will do during the internship:

• Work on organising, auditing and preparing the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for the business
• Optimise the QuickBooks implementation to ensure costs centres are in place and costs are correctly categorised
• Work on financial reporting to help the management team quickly understand cashflows, P&L and balance sheet performance
• Conduct financial analysis on spend to understand opportunities to cut costs and double down on more impactful business activities

What you will do during the internship:

• Work with internal and external partners to create engaging content across multiple social media platforms
• Execute NFT drop campaigns on behalf of our creators including research around the best ways to promote each creator and drop
• Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels including Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and TikTok, adapting content to suit different channels
• Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and direct messages

• Supporting the founders with owning key financial and operational processes to support the team in delivering on our strategy and OKRs.
• Own and optimise the accounts payable and receivable processes to reduce overhead for our bookkeepers, optimise payouts to our partners and make it simple for the team to manage expenses.
• Own and manage the financial reporting for management, the board and investors to provide insights on spending, identify opportunities for investment, and help us better understand our financial position.
• Own our treasury management, manage crypto assets and ensure we derisk our cashflow exposure to market volatility.
• Support the product and marketing teams by working closely with our legal terms to own important ad-hoc projects like improving our platforms’ terms and conditions, privacy policy, and licensing terms.
• Managing relationships with accounting, legal and tax partners across our international structure to ensure compliance and tax returns are submitted in a timely manner.
• Focusing on finance and operations excellence, thinking about how can we become 10x more effective in our execution and delivery and champion process improvements.
• Supporting with insights and reporting on the impact of campaigns and commissioned projects.
• Own hiring processes - gathering role requirements, drafting role descriptions, sourcing talent, structuring interview processes, and designing onboarding processes to set new team members up for success.
