Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineer, you will contribute by implementing the design as specified by the Nomos research team. In addition, you will contribute to the design of new protocol solutions. You will design, specify and build distributed systems. You will build proof of concepts to explore implementation solutions, as well as develop production-ready code and optimizations.

It’s expected that you understand papers well enough to be able to take all necessary steps for their evaluation, adaptation and implementation. The project will expose you to the newest ideas and allow you to stay up-to-date with what is emerging in the space (blockchain, p2p networks, distributed systems, cryptography, Zero-Knowledge proofs, MPC, etc.). You might conduct preliminary theoretical and practical analysis of the performance of the systems and present the results.

Ideally, you will have:

• Coding experience in Rust - this is a MUST-have requirement for this role!
• Experience in complex Distributed Systems in production, preferably in byzantine settings (blockchain) or similar. Alternatively, experience in cloud computing systems, especially if developed at the systems level and complemented with advanced Rust knowledge.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy for Nomos: how to make Nomos successful whilst bringing the cypherpunk ethos back to crypto: decentralisation and privacy.

Your primary focus will be on driving the Go-to-Market strategy, adoption, revenue growth and potential partnerships for the Nomos project.

Key responsibilities:

• Define the marketing and growth strategy for Codex in collaboration with Codex’s Technical BD Lead; as well as our Communications Team in terms of organisation-wide goals.

• Implement, design and enhance secure and reliable chat protocols over Waku, a gossipsub-based decentralized communication network.
• Collaborate with researchers using protocol RFCs as a medium, implement protocol PoCs, then proceed with integration in the main library, and collaborate with QA for extensive testing.
• Liaise with internal consumers of the chat library, understand usage and requirements and UX impacts of design, support with any issue encountered.
• Liaise with Waku protocol engineers to report bugs, stay informed of new functionalities and provide feedback on Waku protocols and implementations.

• Represent the org externally, establishing early, core relationships/partnerships across third parties, institutions & companies; developing win-win value propositions, supporting evolution of the product with real life use-cases.
