About Livepeer

Livepeer is the video layer of the web3 stack. It processes millions of minutes of video a week to applications in production every week. As a blockchain-based protocol that has been live on Ethereum since 2018, the Livepeer Protocol is one of the first web3 networks to deliver real-world value to an existing multi-billion dollar industry. It achieves this through an open-source, blockchain coordinated, p2p network of hardware operators running infrastructure processing video around the world.

What we’re looking for

Livepeer Inc, the initial team behind Livepeer, is looking for an experienced, self-driven product designer. We care deeply about design. For us, it’s both how it works and how it looks. Our flagship product, Livepeer Studio, is a developer and creator tool where speed, interactions, and small details matter. We are designing it to be highly functional, yet minimalistic and delightful. We expect a broad set of design skills, and ability to create high-quality designs, interactions and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall product and design direction of the whole company
• Work cross-functionally with engineers and other partners
• Come up with features and improvements that ship quickly and with high quality
• Use and evolve our internal design system
• Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features
• Work closely with engineers and other partners to ensure a high-quality implementation
• Help with hiring and establishing a design culture within the company
• Redefining best-in-class software design and development processes so that we can build an opinionated product

What we value

• Passion for design and figuring out best in class solutions to UX, UI and interaction challenges
• Ability to think through complex interaction design
• Expressing ideas through visuals and prototyping (Livepeer Inc uses Figma)
• Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems and components.
• Compassionate and confident when giving feedback to others on the team, and humble when receiving feedback.
• A desire to gather, understand and convert a lot of complex information into visual and compelling content that is both engaging and informative.
• A strong work ethic, take ownership, and proof-check your work with high accuracy. Know how to balance perfectionism with agile deliverables.
• Emotional intelligence to think through design problems with partners and arrive at thoughtful solutions.
• Extra points if you have experience within Crypto.
