You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, and various Risk teams to identify savings opportunities and drive compliance for procurement policies. What You'll Do:

• Lead and/or support complex sourcing engagements for various teams interested in products and services that fall into the Technology category (SaaS/Software, IT Professional Services, Hardware, etc.) and potentially other categories as needed 
• Proactively collaborate with business partners and stakeholders in contract negotiations with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fallback positions and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements
• Help lead/support a high level of change management S2P transformational initiatives that require a strong understanding of external industry best practices and implementation of Kraken policies
• Project manage the contract review process with internal stakeholders and coordinate with legal subject matter experts as needed
• Identify and lead/support supplier rationalization plans to optimize existing vendors to deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement, innovation and increased vendor utility 
• Understand business requirements and priorities; formulate guidelines and design standard vendor contract protocols 
• Establish vendor life-cycle strategy to oversee planning, sourcing and selection of new vendors, manage data for vendor performance and manage vendor off-boarding and transition 
• Identifying risks associated with key vendors and manage and help monitor supplier performance against negotiated SLA and MSA terms 
• Perform spend and financial analytics (Ex: TCO, Price Proposal Comparison, Category Spend Overview, etc.) to support commercial term negotiations with performance dashboards
• Supporting other ad hoc projects as needed  
• Deliver relevant procurement training content to business stakeholders to ensure a standard approach for delivery of procurement best practices, policy, and tools
• Proactively work to resolve performance issues with assigned suppliers to ensure effective and timely resolution
• Cultivate positive working relationships internally and externally, using data and facts to drive discussions
• Be a trusted business advisor to your internal partners through your industry knowledge/experience, understanding of Procurement best practices, etc. 

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement or vendor management experience; in a high growth technology environment preferred 
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferably in Procurement, Business Administration or related field. 
• Must be comfortable in a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ environment 
• Strong relationship building, communication and project management to demonstrate project status, key actions, risks and opportunities 
• Has strong negotiating skills, along with a strong presence and ability to influence others, including senior leadership 
• Able to work independently, as well as work in a team-orientated and fast paced environment 
• Nimble with ability to take decisive action to address business needs that meet corporate business objectives
• Experience in fintech, banking industry or financial markets is preferred
• Experience with cryptocurrencies and knowledge of blockchain technology is preferred
• Absolutely must have experience negotiating SaaS agreements (reviewing redlines, identifying potential solutions, etc.) and pricing structures effectively

Responsibilities

• Drive software development through the development lifecycle, taking prototypes from idea to production.  
• Contribute to thought-leadership and analytics that will inevitably change the roadmap and induce pivots.
• Develop the software stack responsible for watching mempool transactions and identifying profitable MEV opportunities. This might include searchers (algorithmic logic) for liquidation or arbitrage, the software stack we use to evaluate transactions in the mempool, and our custom clients designed to deliver the most profitable block.
• Evaluate third-party solutions like Flashbots to determine their suitability for inclusion in our strategy. As appropriate, design a solution that incorporates their technology.
• Use our data stack to determine the most profitable strategies and mimic them.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at least two software systems on a professional team.
• Proficiency in one or more object oriented languages, such as typescript, golang or python with a flexibility to work in any language.
• Experience with numerical methods/algorithms in optimization software.
• Passion for performance-oriented, event-driven backend systems (Eg. trading technology, ad-tech, risk, finance, or distributed web-apps/systems).
• Enough SQL skills to do basic analytics of time series data, and willing to learn more.
• Nice to haves include experience with event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, solidity, and developing smart contracts.
• Smart and collaborative. These are hard problems with lots of potential solutions. We’re looking for people that want to solve them as part of a team.
• Understanding of test-driven development and other techniques to make maintainable financial applications.

• Manage end to end OTC settlement requests, efficiently processing payables and receivables via bank wire and crypto transactions.
• Provide the OTC business with best in class customer service experience by meeting and exceeding SLAs for settlements and inquiry response times
• Coordinate with global team members to monitor thresholds and execute payments to rebalance operating and custodial assets
• Research and resolution of financial and non-financial inquiries received via internal/external messaging systems

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in treasury or finance roles

• Prepare business unit financial statements
• Interact effectively with Corporate and business unit finance staff, (A/P), Treasury and legal, human resources and compliance

• Assist in the implementation of internal controls and accounting processes and procedures including documentation of process narratives, process flowcharts etc. 
• Assist with the adoption of new U.S. GAAP accounting standards including coordinating with accounting process owners, developing implementation plans, and executing process, system, and financial reporting disclosure changes
• Provide technical accounting support including performing accounting research, communicating recommendations to internal stakeholders, and implementing accounting processes for unusual and/or complex transactions on an ad hoc basis
• Interact with internal and external auditors
• Perform intercompany accounting including reconciliation of intercompany balances, identifying and resolving gaps between assigned entities and respective counterparties globally
• Work with Treasury and other departments to ensure proper accounting treatments of complex transactions

Who You Are:

• Minimum Degree in Accounting with at least 7 years of relevant working experience (financial reporting and/or public accounting), CPA preferred
• Preferably some years of audit experience
• Background in accounting for financial services, fintech, banking, or an exchange strongly preferred
• Experienced with accounting for complex business entities especially a parent organization with multiple subsidiaries
• Collaborative, innovative, flexible, and adept at building relationships across the organization

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in social and content strategy with an emphasis on brand, experiential, and highly collaborative, fast paced brand marketing activations and partnerships 
• People management experience of cross-functional social marketing or integrated marketing teams
• Experience in brand marketing, brand building via social channels, and the development of social activations or organizing ideas that support mass campaign efforts 
• Previous experience in cross-channel campaigning, and close partnership with paid media teams 
• Extensive knowledge of social marketing and content marketing tools

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a scalable global mobility process that is supportive of a fully remote globally distributed team, including a population of digital nomads

• Provide expert level immigration, relocation, tax and mobility related consultation to the business
• Partner with legal immigration vendor to provide guidance and direction to business leaders and HR partners, and hold vendors accountable to performance standards
• Oversee the management of visa/work permits and green card process for employees
• Collaborate with other departments within the company on overall coordination and creation of the Global Mobility Program (Legal, Payroll, Tax, Finance, and Security)
• Drive strategic program improvements (e.g., policies, workflows, budgets, etc.) based on market data and internal feedback
• Oversee, manage, and maintain relationships with each team/employee with active mobility cases while providing excellent service throughout the process

Requirements

• 7 years in Global Mobility with at least 5 years in a leadership position, ideally in a rapidly growing global company 
• Knowledge of international employment-related laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working in a remote, globally distributed team in a fast-paced high-growth environment strongly preferred

• Experience using SQL to set up queries in a data warehouse.

We demonstrate ownership of tangible outcomes which deliver value to our users. For this role we are looking for an experienced staff engineer with a background in a similar role ideally in a financial / trading environment. You have contributed strongly in building an industry leading mobile app using React Native with the combination of native components.A key goal will be to take the ownership of architectural vision, long term engineering direction and vision for scaling and growing our mobile products. You are expected to know best practices, how to deliver great user experiences and be able to mentor engineers on the team to deliver these, with a down-to-earth attitude. Everybody within the Engineering organization is mission oriented and results driven, we put “accelerating the worldwide adoption of cryptocurrency” above all else and we index heavily on tangible business results over ‘busy work’, It’s not about how much code was written, it’s about how much impact what was delivered with as little as code as possible, or even better solving a problem without writing any new code.

Responsabilities

• Strong technical understanding of the React Native and native mobile across iOS and Android architecture, performance and ongoing stability of mobile products
• Take ownership and continuously review code to ensure it is scalable, reusable and works across multiple applications inside our repository
• Mentoring and guiding engineering in the mobile team to best practices and working with them to educate
• Excellent communicator to smoothly ensure others understand what is required to change at all levels.
• Experience working with product and engineering leadership to ensure big bets can be made, architectural changes can happen and priorities are understood.
• Excellent communication both written via RFCs / architecture diagrams and verbally to clearly articulate points in meetings and get everyone on the same page is required. 
• Keep up to date with the mobile development ecosystems so as to be able to influence future product direction.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years extensive software engineering experience in high performing teams
• 6+ years of strong knowledge using React Native and Typescript at scale
• 2+ years in a Staff Engineer role
• Objective-C/Swift or Java/Kotlin - iOS and Android native experience and bridging with React Native
• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax and the TypeScript superset
• Ability to teach (and write) new architecture, turbo modules and JSI to the team, knowledge and understanding of C++
• Experience working on either large complex enterprise level systems or proven ability to build a greenfield product from start to finish
• You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• Willingness to take extreme ownership of your work and educate engineers to create results
• Ability to work closely with product, engineering and design teams
• Working with leadership and senior management to steer the way of mobile engineering roadmap

Nice to have

• You have worked in the crypto, fintech or security industry 
• Knowledge of Rust
• React Native core contributor or experience with the core
