As Senior Marketing Copywriter at Freeway, you’ll help define our voice as we position ourselves and products as a disruptive force for good in the world of finance. Working closely with our compliance department, your financial experience, expertise in and passion for crypto/blockchain will ensure you’re able to portray Freeway in the most compelling, simple and human ways.

This is primarily a marketing focused role - you’ll develop engaging campaigns, content and copy that defines our brand purpose and differentiates our products across Digital Advertising, Social, Email, TV, Radio, Direct Marketing and CRM. Copy that intrigues, inspires, and engages our audiences, while also driving results.

Like everyone in our small but highly experienced team, you’ll need to be a bit of an ‘all-rounder’ - one day writing for our website, the next a sales presentation and another a radio ad or twitter post.

You must have a strong passion for crypto and be immersed in the on-going narratives and conversations continually taking shape in the space - especially on social media.

You must be based in the UK (or Europe) as you will need to be working very closely with the London-based marketing leadership team on a daily basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and evolve our tone of voice and strategic messaging in collaboration with our in-house team of experienced marketeers and creatives.
• Ensure our tone of voice is consistent across all touchpoints.
• Manage quality standards, efficient processes and productivity to support the entire company’s copy needs.
• Editing and fact-checking content.
• Proof-reading.
• Marketing copy, both long and short form.
• Scripts for radio and film, and copy for social, email, CRM, digital marketing and sales.

We’re looking for a highly creative and experienced digital designer to help bring our exciting brand vision to life. Working closely with our Head of Creative you’ll help define and evolve a striking challenger brand identity and apply it across all customer touchpoints and materials.

We’re after a digital and crypto native (familiar with the crypto industry’s design styles and platforms), yet someone comfortable enough in Print to confidently build out a brand and campaign identity that works seamlessly both on and offline.

You’ll be part of a highly experienced yet small creative team - so you must be happy dividing your time between high-level brand design thinking one moment and producing BAU assets on tight deadlines the next.

• Develop a striking look and feel/design style for Freeway and its products.

• Ensure design best practices are observed across the brand.
• Fluent in the usual software - Adobe Creative Suite etc. Familiarity with Canva/Active Campaign an advantage.

You will be joining our A-Team and should have the best back-end development skills among your peers to back up your membership into the team. We expect calm under pressure and a “do whatever it takes” mentality — both critical attributes in our quickly-evolving industry.

You will be collaborating with our front-end application developers, designing back-end components, and integrating data storage and protection solutions. You will have worked with front-end React teams in a production environment in order to provide slick, intuitive experiences for users across all platforms. Your expertise will ensure stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users.

You will be collaborating with our entire Tech Team on a regular basis. You’re a team player who enjoys collaboration but you can also be relied upon to solve problems and build solutions independently when needed. You will work in partnership with other front-end and back-end developers and will play a critical role in developing Freeway apps. You will be expected to architect and execute solutions that are elegant, fast and sustainable.

You will also be responsible for profiling and improving back-end performance and documenting our back-end codebase on a daily basis. We need to move fast but not at the expense of performance or code readability.

Node.js Developer Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain all server-side network components
• Ensure optimal performance of databases and responsiveness to front-end requests
• Collaborate with front-end developers on the integration of elements
• Architect and code back-end services for various business processes
• Develop high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
• Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions
• Document Node.js processes, including database schemas
• Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies
• Diagnose and fix bugs
• Regularly monitor and improve app performance
• Participate in the development of requirements and documentation
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure a quality product

Node.js Developer Requirements:

• You always ship.
• You have an excellent attention to detail.
• You are active in crypto. While not a dealbreaker for the strongest candidates, you ideally have professional experience in Web3 and/or FinTech.
• You have a thorough understanding of Node.js and its core principles and best practices.
• You have previous experience working as a Node.js developer, with the background to prove it.
• You have production experience with postgreSQL, sequelize and express.
• You are familiar with the AWS stack(s) and ideally have production experience with AWS.
• You are an excellent troubleshooter and problem solver.
• You are highly capable at time management and project management.
• You write well-documented, clean code.
