What you'll do

• As part of the Marketing team, you will collaborate closely with all other teams (Partnerships, Engineering, and Leadership) to support ETHGlobal’s communication strategy for our products and events.
• Help produce multi-media content across our different platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Instagram and E-mail and along our various Marketing campaign to inform and entertain our developer community.
• Deep-dive into the latest news and trends in crypto and work on well researched Twitter threads and memes.
• Engage in community building activities such as Discord community calls and Twitter Spaces, and contribute in reaching out to individuals and communities we are collaborating with.
• Help with the promotional plans of our products Guides, Jobs and our staple Events hosted all across the globe
• Track and analyze growth across our platforms, preparing reports and presenting them with confidence.
• Gain experience with, or training in, a variety of Content Management Systems and Work Management Tools (for example Hypefury, Notion and Linear)
• Document and present your progress and findings, and report to the Marketing team as well as the entire ETHGlobal staff regularly

What you’ll do

• Work on the Engineering team, collaborating closely with Partnerships, Marketing, and Leadership teams to build systems that power ETHGlobal products, and solve ambiguous problems across the organization.
• Plan, lead and implement medium to large technical projects independently, or collaboratively where needed.
• Build APIs that support member-facing experiences and internal tools for Events and grows our community of 50,000+ developers
• Build APIs and systems for new learning experiences on Guides – which helps teach developers learn how to write code for web3.
• Develop infrastructure to build, deploy, test and scale APIs and key systems

Who we’re looking for

• Have 5-7+ years of experience working as a software engineer, with experience designing, leading & engineering large-scale systems for products.
• Experience working with TypeScript, Node, Express and Apollo to build APIs.
• Experience working with GraphQL on the backend, along with handling security and authorization.
• Experience with relational databases, including investigating, monitoring and improving performance and scale - we primarily use MySQL with Vitess.
• Experience working with serverless and long-lived containerized services, using cloud providers such as Vercel and Google Cloud Compute.
• Familiarity with Prisma and typed GraphQL tools such as TypeGraphQL, Pothos, or Nexus is a plus.

• Help Scale Web3. ETHGlobal works with hundreds of protocols and companies in the web3 ecosystem helping ensure healthy communities and exciting new products are being built on top
• Create Partnerships. You'll play a central role in chasing new leads, negotiating, helping existing relationships flourish, and providing opportunities on a bespoke partner-to-partner basis
• Form Relationships. Relationships are the backbone of all we do on the Business Development side. Whether at in-person or online events, educational content, or other products we offer, you'll be the central point of contact to support our partners' success
• Be a voice for our community and products. The partnerships team plays a unique role in bridging both of ETHGlobal's key external groups: our community of developers and our partners. As a result, you'll have a unique and important voice in advocating for the success of both parties and ensuring our products are aligned to do the same
• Work with the entire ETHGlobal team. We can't do it all — the partnerships team members are masters of working across our organization to deliver the best possible outcomes for partners. • Full cycle accounting, financial statement reporting and process documentation preparation
• Prepare customer invoices timely and accurately and follow up with customers on overdue balances
• Verify, allocate, process, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Manage vendor registration, setup, and maintenance in accordance with company policy
• Manage payments in fiat and crypto in a variety of tokens and Ethereum and Layer 2
• Handle distribution of millions of dollars of prizes to thousands of winners globally
• Monitoring of schedules, deadlines and internal budgets
