ABOUT dYdX:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write and review secure smart contract and protocol code
• Partner with developers to continuously review and assess new protocol releases, identify the risks, and help provide solutions
• Assess and lead integrations of security partners and tools as needed
• Investigate events, triage potential incidents and work closely with our teams during these incidents to help drive response efforts
• Review new and existing system designs to ensure we have secure and reliable backend systems.
• Ability to discover and patch security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
• Proactively identify and reduce security risks in our code base
• Find and remove outdated and vulnerable code and code libraries
• Develop security training and guidance to internal development teams
• Work together with multi-functional teams to develop the best overall product.
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of security engineering/cybersecurity experience
• Experience securing infrastructure hosted on cloud server providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Experience with testing and screening security software and monitoring networks for security breaches
• You write secure, efficient, high quality code and have a strong understanding of CS fundamentals.
• You have experience with or are open to learning Solidity, Go JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Express, WebSockets, Docker, AWS, Terraform.
• You are a fast learner who can quickly master new technologies.

NICE TO HAVES:

• You have interest in building out a team of security engineers
• You have a strong interest in decentralized finance
• You have experience building blockchain applications, or smart contracts
• You have experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
• CS Degree or equivalent experience

Salary range for this role is $195K to $300K USD (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.

Senior Trading Infrastructure Engineer

(Location: New York, NY)

ABOUT dYdX:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and scale decentralized matching engine, risk system, and limit order book for blockchain protocol using CosmosSDK along with its surrounding backend systems
• Provide technical guidance and leadership in navigating tradeoffs (architecture, timeline, etc.)
• Ensure best practices within the engineering team through guidance on architecture, code reviews, performance, testing, efficiency, and other engineering excellence improvements
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, researchers and product managers to turn requirements into products and lead the execution end-to-end
• Mentor and develop junior engineers

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years experience working as a backend software engineer
• Experience with trading system development at a mid/high frequency firm writing code to communicate with exchanges (i.e. order entry and low latency feed handlers)
• And/or experience working on exchange infrastructure, dealing with low latency order intake, risk checks, and matching
• Strong experience in a systems programming language and network programming knowledge
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and software architectures, excellent coding skills, strong CS fundamentals, and strong debugging capabilities
• Fast learner who can quickly master new technologies

Senior Product Designer

(Location: New York, NY - Onsite)

• Own the end-to-end design process, from ideation and prototyping to user testing and final implementation, ensuring a seamless and delightful user journey
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other teams to design best-in-class experiences for our users
• Design for our web, iOS, and Android platforms
• Contribute to our our design system and brand identity
• Ensure the products we ship are consistent with our design and branding standards
• Perform user research and use data to develop the right product strategy and solutions that delight our customers
• Design marketing materials and partner with external contact design resources

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of UX, UI, or product design experience
• Strong product sensibility
• Experience developing wireframes and prototypes
• Proficiency with Figma
• Proven experience building excellent consumer-facing mobile and web products
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence and passion for product design
• You are an open-minded and accountable individual, who respects collaboration
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related design major or equivalent work experience

• Spearhead the development and implementation of our mobile product roadmap. Take charge of setting technical standards and best practices across our iOS and Android apps

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience working at a reputable tech company or startup
• Proven experience in mobile development and technical leadership, preferably in a crypto or fintech environment
• Strong grasp of UI design patterns and passion for delightful user experience
• Strong background in mobile development ideally using Swift and/or Kotlin
• An interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies
