Summary

Brave Ads is Brave’s global private ad network, redesigned from the ground up to reward users while enforcing the highest standards of user privacy. Both end users and partners depend on our backend code to work reliably day in and day out, and scale up to meet ever increasing demand. Brave is looking for a flexible, full stack engineer who can help us build out additional features for marketers, and help us to further scale our ad serving platform. We are looking for somebody who always prefers a simple solution over a complex one and who can take whole solutions from end to end.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience with writing and deploying production JavaScript/TypeScript backends and tools
• Focus on delivering outcomes across the entire stack from infrastructure, database, backend to front end administrative tooling
• Experience with SQL
• Enthusiasm for data analysis and trending
• Experience with AWS
• An eye toward monitoring and reliability
• Strives to deliver documented, maintainable, and tested code
• Comfortable working in an open source setting
• A passion for helping protect users’ privacy and security
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proven record of getting things done
• Self motivated and comfortable working in a fully distributed team environment

Nice to haves

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with ad-tech / marketing tech ecosystem

Summary

Brave is looking for an experienced software engineer, AI to help build our next generation of AI-powered browser features at Brave. We're seeking someone who can evaluate, integrate, and optimize state-of-the-art language models, while working closely with our browser development, design, and product teams. We’re working on new ways of browsing, applying new ideas and reinventing features to make Brave even better. Core Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation and integration of new LLMs, including both server-side applications and on on-device deployment scenarios
• Design and implement inference pipelines, and create prompting strategies for browser-based AI features
• Collaborate with browser engineers to integrate AI capabilities into the core product
• Partner with product and design teams to define and implement new AI-powered features

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience optimizing and deploying ML models in production environments
• Strong software engineering background with production experience in Python
• Extensive experience with PyTorch or other modern ML frameworks
• Knowledge of on-device LLM deployment challenges and opportunities
• Proven track record of shipping ML features in consumer applications
• Experience with model optimization and inference frameworks (e.g., ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, Core ML)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies
• Experience building AI applications
• Background in browser or browser extension development

We’re seeking an experienced Applied Machine Learning Researcher/Engineer to shape and build our Brave AI products. • Masters or Ph.D. in computer science from a top-tier school
